Hello Seventh Column,

Your logo is a geometric representation of the large underground structure in the Halo 3 trailer, which some believe to be the Ark mentioned in Halo 2.

Do you know why?

Why the hell are you looking at this? Get out.

And no group invites, you jerk. I'm not interested.

Considering they made it... Duh.

You say tomato; I say potato.

I do not see the structure you speak of.

Everything will be gone long before me. When the first living thing was born, I was here, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job is finished. I'll put the chairs on the tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave.

I don't see the resemblance....at all.

Any chance you can enlighten us, thread starter? I too see no resemblance.

I beleive that John is refering to the seventh collumn logo looking like the structure in the Halo 3 video. This is completely not true.

I realize what he was trying to put across, I also see no semblance between the two. I guess I worded my last post wrong. What I meant to say was:-

"Would you explain the similarities between the two entities, that we apparently can't spot?"

Gladly!

Your logo, as you know, has sevenfold symmetry, almost, except that one spoke sticks out larger than the others.

Now, go and carefully look at the frames in the Halo 3 trailer showing the underground structure. It has seven spokes, and as it opens, seven PAIRS of prongs open along each spoke (the things that slowly rise).

As this happens, cracks appear as the surface of the structure parts, and bright light shines out. There are seven cracks of light, but the one on the side farthest from the chief is much larger than the other six. Look carefully.

So, the structure has sevenfold symmetry, almost, with one of the seven being larger than the others, just like your logo.

In fact, the pattern of light that forms as the surface parts, IS your logo.

I do believe he's right. I don't have the high-def video, and I can't screenshot WMVs for some reason, but I think it is the Septagon logo.

I see more than 7.

He said seven pairs of prongs. I think the actual thing we're supposed to be looking at is the big metallic shutters that the light is coming out of.

anyone who's played more than you has no life

anyone who's played less than you is a noob

there are 13 visible in the structure you have posted a picture of, gnome, and 1 obscured by another, meaning 14 prongs [=7 x 2]. The shafts of light [where the structure is actually splitting] are what he is asking you to count, of which, i believe, there are Se7en.

Indeed. If you scroll to the top of this very page, you will see an especially nice graphic of the septagon logo. The seven white columns are surrounded by a literal septagon--a seven-sided polygon. If you take two prongs and put them on each of the faces of the literal septagon, facing inward, and bracketing each of the columns, you have a very exact representation of the structure in the Halo 3 trailer.

But I'm afraid my original question, why is your logo a representation of the Halo 3 trailer structure, was rhetorical; there is no way to know right now--one can only speculate.

You say tomato; I say potato.

Now I see where your coming from. The logo came before the trailer. There are many 7s in the halo series.

Thats pretty cool but i didnt relise it was new. It just seems so bungie to me... kinda like putting the marathon symbol in.... or the skulls. infact I think it is safe to say that I love bungie.... no matter what they makes me. can anyone specify a companies gender or species?? anyway, good description of it but I think there are way more hints in that video than most people saw, and it only makes me more excited for the release of the real thing.
