Personally I think he's a big idiot. He does his best to get captured or killed all through the game.

What's your opinion of the Captain?

  • 02.09.2007 9:19 AM PDT

Because he knew that I would pop him in the face the second he gave me it if it was loaded.

He didn't realise that, unlike in Halo 2, You can die in this game, wether you are essential or not.

Peace loving pansy. Why else do you think he got captured by the flood?

I am...whimsical today.

If it gets to a point where a loaded weapon is needed on the bridge of the ship, then it's gone too far and self destruct procedures should be activated.

Yet, there were 3 Grunts only metres away from the bridge. Intriguing......

I repeat, sing along with me, I run the streets the streets don't run me.

There were Grunts and Elites about 5 meters away from the bridge. Very bad for a crew.

Most reasonable.

I think you should burn your halo disc for wanting something this skill free, host dependent, repetative, stupid, and overall bad. I hope you burn in the hottest fires of hell for presenting such a terrible idea. In conclusion, jesus died for everyone but you.

It's against protocol. Something you evidently know nothing about. They don't allow you to even light a match on the bridge, let alone keep a fully-loaded firearm with you.

don't take me too seriously..

Thats probably the best reason.

But since he didn't have any ammo, you had to walk a couple of meters away, come back, and then you could pop him in the face..

Why do Captains need to fight when they have a Halcyon-class cruiser full of Marines at their disposal?

The chief confescaded it thinking it would do more good in a spartans hands. Unfortunatly he put it with the rest of the spartan weapons and it was destroyed. That or he is so week that he thought it was loaded when he packed it. Maybe it is lost luggage and there is piston ammo sitting on a convayer belt on some space station long since destroyed neer reach.

I'll admit I don't know much about Cole protocol but if you can't even light a match how is the Captain smoking his pipe?

I didn't see it lit.

Exactly. He just chews on it. It's a habit.

Yeah, firearms have nothing to do with the Cole Protocol.

The Cole Protocol was designed to stop the Covenant getting their hands on Earth ( = destroying records on location of Earth and not jumping on Earth-bound vectors). I don't know what you people talking about pipes and matches are on [about].

Whereas you do know all about protocol. On spaceships. In a video game.

Kudos.

I agree we spend a whole lot of time, ammunition and soldiers trying to rescue him in Truth and reconciliation only to go missing the next day, we go looking for him on 343 Guilty spark and find when we are on the level Keyes he has been captured...again and is being held on the cruiser by the flood.

Ahh, yes. The damsel in distress. Exept for the damsel part. And since he isnt a damsel we really dont give a rats ass about him.
