**For the strategic gamer, not the "run-and-shooter". Probably not Luke's type of game... teamwork involved.

*NEED THE GAMETYPE!!!!!* Download it here.

A terrorist group has intercepted the president's motorcade as it was making its way to safety. All transportation has been destroyed with the exception of a terrorist Mongoose and Warthog, left over from the initial attack. You have survived the first wave of assailants, but there are still a handful of terrorists ahead, armed to the teeth with a variety of weapons. Lead your president to safety before the terrorists send him to the grave.

GAMEPLAY:
The game is a VIP variant set on High Ground. The president and crew (OFFENSE) start on the beach while the terrorists (DEFENSE) start within the base at various locations. I have attempted to create "roles" for each participant, starting everyone with plasma pistols but spawning everyone in front of a particular weapon. There are three general "roles" for each side, discussed below, but generally, the roles are: Sniper, Explosives Expert, and Gunman. The offense must lead the president (VIP) to the small hallway in the back of the base, marked by a nav point, while the defense attempts to stop them. I tried to make this as realistic as possible, so weapons wouldn't respawn for terrorists or the secret service in real life. Also, every player has one life and that's it. Here are some specifics for each side:

OFFENSE:
Quickly grab your weapons and take cover... the terrorists are bound to be closing in on your position. Stay close to the VIP, as I have made players within proximity to the VIP stronger. This will encourage the president's protection as opposed to players running off on their own. The offense starts off with a president (VIP, black, cannot inflict damage), one sniper, two explosives experts (rockets and 3 types of grenades), and a few Secret Service Agents (mix of battle rifles, assault rifles, and shotguns). Everyone also has a backup sidearm in the event of an emergency... like a terrorist attack or something... Work as a team to move up the beach and pick off terrorists. Make it to the safety zone once to win.

***Custom power-ups have been set to a mode I like to call "decoy". There is no nav point on the VIP, so terrorists seeing a black guy running around may think he is the president. When they kill him and the round doesn't end, they will realize they have just been punk'd... Air Force One style. Custom powerups last 90 seconds and users will still be able to use weapons, so I would keep your plasma pistol just incase you want that "full effect" when running around pretending to be the president.

DEFENSE:
You are the second wave in case the first wave has failed to kill the president (which it did). Quickly grab your weapons and get into position. You will start in an optimal place based on your weapon setting, but feel free to move around. I would leave the front door closed unless you want company to make their way right in. There are plenty of traps to be set, such as land mines, explosives in the piping, and so on. I won't spoil all the possibilities, but get creative. You have all the resources necessary to make a strong stand. Watch out for the decoys! Kill the VIP once to win.

Defensive roles include one sniper, three explosive specialists (rocket launchers), one mechanic (flamethrower and all grenades), and the rest are armed terrorists (SMGs, assault rifles, etc.). Not all players will have access to granades like the offense.

If you have any ideas or suggestions, please send me a message. Hope to see you downloading!!!

**If you have a map you would like included somewhere other than Bungie, I have created a website, Forged and Customized that allows users to not only find a custom game based on their personal preferences, but also submit their own games for inclusion on the website. Feel free to visit, but take note that the website is under a lot of construction. Also, click the "submissions" tab on the right to find out how to send me your games! The sooner you send them, the sooner they will appear on the site! Help me make this the place to go to easily search for user-created custom games.

@TheDirtyHammer: He has the map setup with all the weapons, equipment, vehicles, etc etc. But in order to get the correct VIP settings, respawns, and damage, you'll have to download the Custom Gametype he has provided. You can find it at the top of his first post.

This sounds quite appealing, I'll download it later today. Your description is excellent, that's got to count for something. ;)

Cheers,

Nice to see someone not bumping their thread like a moron! And someone who actually puts a description! Way to go!

I love using strategy, can't wait to try this out.
