Gametype (Assault): No Mercy
Map (Foundry): Cannonball Run
This game has a lot going on all at once, but it's not at all difficult to figure it out. First of all, let me explain that though I used the assault gametype for this variant, it's actually played more like a neutral game... except the neutral part is the plant, not the bomb.
Each team starts in front of a pre-existing base. Gauss Hog and Ghost for each. To the side, pass the large shield door, is most of the weapons and you OPPONENT'S bomb. On the catwalks that lead to the rear of the bases you'll see teleporters blocked off. The back of the base is used to jail your opponent's respawn. You can either free them yourself while picking up your bomb from the enemy's base, or let the fusion coil drop every 30 sec and free them automatically. The window for release lasts only 10 seconds. (If you really want to screw the other guys, feel free to kill them through the windowed hall, with infinite ammo, while you wait for release.
Okay, you made it to the enemy's base, freed your friends, and grabbed your bomb - what now? Head for the cage that runs between the two sides. But beware! On other side of it are machine gun turrets ready to pick you off as you make your way to the top. If you reach the man cannon, let it launch you to another and then back to the middle of the cage, and there's the plant. Instant arm and you've got 3 seconds to make it out alive.
If anyone is afraid that this game may take way too much time to play, I assure you that it goes by pretty quick. The bombs are on 60 second reset timer. It's pretty much a guarantee no one is just gonna score on their first try. Work as a team and make sure the bomb runner gets some coverage from outside, while he's inside, the cage.
Try it out, and feel free to share any opinions or complaints.
