View from a Higgins Boat
My version of D-Day. The Allies start out in an isolated room where they can set up their class. Their are four rooms and so four classes. The most common one is the rifleman/submachine gunner. Here you start with either a carbine or an SMG. The next most common is the squad gunner. As the squad gunner, you get an assault rifle (to simulate a BAR) and overshields. There is also a light machine gunner (simulated with a plasma cannon). The LMG-er gets a shotgun and a rocket launcher too, but these take a minute to respawn. The Sniper gets a sniper rifle and active camo.
After arming themselves, the Allies then go through the teleporter and spawn in Higgins Boats. The most obvious threat will be a bunker armed with two MG 42s, but the Germans spawn in their underground bunkers with a variety of weapons. If the Allies can make it to the Sea Wall, they will either scale the rocks (simulated with a grav lift), or go up an incline on the right of the cliff face. If enough allies can make it to the top of the cliff, they can blast the Krauts as they come out of the Bunkers, and win the day.
I haven't made a specific gametype for this map yet. If you have a good one, please post it on this page.
There is only one picture 'cause the one that's up is so cool.
Version two now out, I posted the link near the bottom of the page
