To the sky.
Head to the sky, and prepare for some wild custom games on DEATHPIMPS map, Station 6. Not only is this one of the more creative maps I've spotted while sifting through the Halo: Reach Map Files, but also one of the most aesthetic. DEATHPIMP managed to construct a brilliantly designed map by putting together bits and pieces that I would never think of using. I usually butcher these sort of in depth explanations, so I'll let DP take it from here. Enjoy!
Q. Who are you and why do you Forge?
A. D34THP1MP72, I have loved forge since first stepping foot in it in H3. I love being able to make an area that others can play on and enjoy.
Q. What was your inspiration for Station 6?
A. A floating station used to garrison troops and train during down time is what I was aiming at.
Q. What made you choose the location you did?
A. I decided to use an area that most were not using and making my own area in the sky. I wanted to have an inside map but didn't really like the way that the Hanger felt for what I wanted to do.
Q. Did you employ any unusual Forge techniques in making Station 6?
A. Not really, I did make a roof that looks pretty bad ass from the inside of the map and also wanted it to look good from the outside. Gameplay usually is what I strive at first and foremost though.
Q. Anything else people should know before they download?
A. I think the map runs great for flag and for 4v4 Slayer. It has long sight lines and a weapon load out to use them. Game play happens all over the map and there are many elevation changes to make game play exciting.
