Halo Trilogy - The Complete Original Soundtracks

You'll only have to wrap one box.

The observant people over at HBO noticed that there's a new flavor of the Halo Trilogy Soundtrack being made available this December - just in time for the gift giving season.  If you don't already own the full set of five separately released soundtracks, or if you just fancy yourself a "completist," you might want to hit the link below and add this to your wishlist.

Tag and Release - 'Annual'

You don't need a degree in Archeology to uncover the gems other players have left behind.

If you're not using the newly tweaked tag tools to dig up sweet content on Bungie.net, then you're doing it wrong.  But don't toss out your wool fedora just yet.  As we've already announced, the once daunting task of sifting and sorting content has been simplified.  From the All Tags link found under the Bungie Online heading, you can utilize the tools in your kit to conduct broad, category-wide searches, or to delicately dust off your artifacts with a supple brush and find the exact content you're looking for.

How do I drop-down?

You can fiddle with the various knobs and levers as much as you like.  Here's a somewhat refined assemblage of assets we discovered by searching for the Highest Rated files found under the tag "annual."

And yeah, we know, you have way better screenshots in your fileshare. That's sweet because the same tools expounded on above allow you to tag your own awesome content. Do it properly and you won't have to rely on verbalization to sell your stuff - it'll automatically rise to the top as other player's start digging it up, rating it, and adding meaningful tags of their own.

Bungie.net Avatars Updated

Last month I announced that I would begin taking avatar submissions and today we've put up some of the best of them. With the help of Chris Gossett and Achronos, there are about 50 new avatars available to you to choose from. Much thanks to all those who submitted avatars.

If yours wasn't posted it either didn't pass my or Achronos' screening, wasn't in .gif format, wasn't 90x90 or said something mean about my mother. I'll keep accepting submissions for a little while longer while people rectify these problems and then probably shut it down a little while from now. Thanks again, folks!

Halo 2 Vista Section Goes Live

The Halo 2 Vista page has just gone live on Bungie.net! In it you can find a screenshot gallery, an about page and an FAQ that holds everything we've addressed thus far on Halo 2 Vista. Along with this update, the web team has also added the long-awaited search function that encompasses the whole site!

Go check out Halo 2 Vista in all its glory in the screenshot gallery and then search for naughty words, in that order. You know you want to.

Updated Teaser Trailer WMVs

We've updated the Windows Media versions of the Halo 3 Announcement teaser trailer.  There isn't much difference between the old and new, the new are simply uncropped versions of the same video.  They simply look better in Windows Media Player.  They are a little larger, but we want to make sure everyone has the best possible view of the teaser, regardless of their choice of media player.

The new links are below.  We've updated the top story to reflect these links, although the old links will still work and show the original one if you want to compare.
