I'm saying that the concept is very popular, and even though others may or may not have been working on a similar variant before you, your map is the best, and you have the skills to make a good map, with a good concept.

Well, what with me being me, I try to find something good in each map I look at. I also make special note of the bad and often there's a lot to find.
Lets start with the good. I liked the turret placements and including the beach to the left of the bombed arch. This gave the map a nice feel of open-ness(is that a word?) and the turrets suppressing the invaders. Having guns strewn across the beach on the way up added a cool touch of realism. Speaking of realism the rain of fusion coils simulating artillery and mortars caused much chaos.
And now the bad. The barriers on the way up the beach were far too symmetrical and calculated. It just looked unnatural. Including the previously mentioned stretch of beach would make me expect equal detail on that side, which was absent. The defense's immense cache of weapons brings up the curiosity of how the attackers can overcome an opponent with not only high ground and tactical position but a superior arsenal as well. Despite the hail of fusion coils the beachhead was boring, including little to none of the devastation that made Normandy cool in the first place. Overall the object density was low resulting in a very open feel, and the defenders seemed prepared to take on a battleship. If real -blam!-s had manned this wall, they would have felt like America was mocking them by sending infantry against the sea wall.
And now I am off to continue the forging of my own personal Normandy map and gametype. I'll keep your map in mind and learn from it. Look for it on Bungie favorites later.
Disclaimer: I am not totally against this map. It's a cool concept and the first I've personally seen to include the bomb hail. I just found that the cons outweighed the pros.
EDIT: Wow, I really wrote a book on this.
