To jon: To somehow manage to evade an attack that should rightly have killed you. Origin: In the first Halo, our friend Jon would manage to survive fatal blows by sheer luck.

In this screenshot, I get vengeance for being jonned constantly over the years. Jon throws a spiker but it passes between arm, body and hammer to cruise harmlessly past. And then I murder him. Jon gets classicly jonned.
