Probably used forced perspective (one of the tricks used for the Hobbit effects in LOTR). The larger Elite is positioned in the air using a glitch in forge and is closer to the camera, while the smaller one sits on the ground. Notice the difference in shadow? The larger Elite's doesn't start at its feet, which it would if it were on the ground.

As for the glitch, spawn a box, put a player on top, and then delete the box.
