Subject: ALL those training maps in ONE - A MUST SEE for those that want to ...

-BRW

I'm sure you've seen all those threads about "Halo should have bots so I can practice." Odds are that's not going to happen so people have worked tirelessly to try and create ways to practice their skills on their own.

Many go into Campaign or put in an unmoving dummy into a custom game. Others however, have taken a more creative approach in designing maps to practice on. There have been many out there...but NONE like this.

I have tirelessly worked to compile all the most popular training map ideas (along with a few of my own) into ONE easy to use map.

This map does need a little explination so you use it correctly:

PRACTICE AIM/STICKS: You need a second controller as a "dummy" for this. Where you spawn is where this exercise takes place. One is on the shooting platform and another is on the walking range. Simple rubber band or some other way to make the left stick of the one on the walking range stay fully forward and that's it...your character will STRAFE and JUMP on this course while you practice your shots...you'll see how it works when you get the map. Once they die, they will respawn at random places in the "track" so you never know where to shoot. If you don't kill them, they will teleport to the start of the course and keep going...you NEVER need to adjust the controller, it's completely continuous. There is a weapon display to practice with different guns as well as 2 sniper spots named "shooting range 'B'"(one behind and a back angle reached by the teleporter). If you fall off follow the "A" signs to the stairwell leading you to the main shooting platform named "shooting range 'A'."

GRENADE LOBS: A constantly regenerating frag on top of a box. It's simple...practice your lobs into open boxes...if you get it in, there will be an explosion signaling you made it in...different distances as well as heights prepare you for many situations on the field.

SHOOTING OFF MAN-CANNON/GRAV LIFT: In the middle of the map you stand on this small platform with a BR, Carbine, Sniper & Beam Rifle...in front of you are two structures with grav lifts in them...at random times Fusion coils spawn and bob up and down for you to practice shooting someone off a grav lift. Behind you is the man cannon where every minute a Fusion coil spawns and you must shoot it out of the sky before it reaches the box at the other side...

DUMMY SNIPER HEADSHOTS: You will also note that above the box is a dummy "person" (coil with street cone on top) where you snipe the head (cone). These are also set up in the back (where you normally spawn on Foundry for use whenever you like.

You will note that this Boot Camp has many possibilities. You can use any gametype with it but I suggest making it infinite ammo and infinite points so you don't have to keep restarting.

ENJOY GETTING BETTER AS YOU ATTEND THE UNSC BOOT CAMP! Any questions as to what something is feel free to PM me!

KEEP THIS THREAD ALIVE SO EVERYONE CAN HAVE THE CHANCE TO IMPROVE THEIR GAME!!!!!!!

You know, there's a million fine looking women in the world, dude. But they don't all bring you lasagna at work. Most of 'em just cheat on you.

I really liked the strafing part. Everything else was ok, but I got lost lol.
