So here it is. The asymmetrical map that’s been from concept to Sketchup to concept and finally to the finished and completed map that’s known as Regicide. It’s been roughly a few months since most of you have seen the Regicide concept (found here) and the first thing you’ll notice is a bunch of changes in the playable map.
The map was made with king of the hill in mind. There are five hills in cycle around the map and setting up becomes a way to win on this map. The most infamous way to hurt a map is spawning, but with thirty-four precisely placed respawn points, and with six semi-rooms to spawn in, testing has proven good gameplay with the spawn setup in Regicide Beta that some of you have looked at. Designing Regicide particularly near the last 10% of the completion was making sure the map has good shooting angles with good maneuverability in jumps.
Kon Artist and Salty have stayed up many nights near completion helping me with the last ideas and forging that really make this map shine, thank you guys.
