Completely original hill design, my map brings a whole new feel to halo 3. I was wanting to make a map that no one had done before, and one that played really well. After thinking about it for a while... and seeing some other hill maps that were nothing to write home about, I decided to make a map that had a more natural slope. I started back in October and only finished it about a week ago.Layout:There is the hill which takes up about 40% of the main hanger area in Foundry. The hill is setup in the corner. It has a gradual yet dynamic slope on it so that you can walk(without jumping) and drive all the way up. There are some sheer cliffs (some you can get past with a grenade jump, another you need a grav lift for) but it is very easy to make your way to the top. Inside the hill there are caverns with two entrances and to vents which take you right to the top.For the attackers there is a simple wall which kind of parallels the hill so that you can attack from any direction up the slope (the wall is made out of open boxes and walls so you can get out along any point).Vehicles:For the attackers there is one gausshog, two mongeese, and a ghost. each of these can easily make it up and down the hill, the Hog however is stopped from going around one side of the attackers' wall by a fence wall because it made it too simple to deliver a flag that way.Weapons:I can't remember the number of each weapon I put, but it is the basics throughout the map with;2 snipers (one on 'sniper point' on the hill, the other at the far end of the attackers' wall)1 Splazer 1 Fuel rod1 Sword1 Grav Hammer (found in the back hallway, incentive for the attackers to actually fall back and stratagize)All the heavy weapons do not spawn at start and have longer respawn times.Gametypes:this is good for;1 flag1 bombking of the hillinfectionand of course the slayersPictures:OverviewTop of hillView from Sniper pointMain Cave entranceSide Cave entranceThe main CavernI know it doesnt look that clean but it plays very wellI hope you really enjoy the map!Sincerely-Babushka11[Edited on 02.07.2009 10:49 PM PST]
