Atlas submission thread on Synapse:

Synapse is a vertical map built up on the sky-bubble. Remember Gephyrophobia, from Halo CE? Well imagine that, except better. It wasn't intentionally meant to resemble that, but it has it's own "tilt" to be able to set itself apart from that. It is a map that redefines many of the ideas we would usually hold on to during asymmetric games. The high ground is not for defenders, but for attackers instead. It is fairly a new experience to all players who are "Lucky" enough to be taken in by the sights... So there are many ways down, but only two ways up. It is made on the low ground idea, Upper-team attacks, lower-team defends.Weapons are for the most part managed by the size, scale, and perspective of the map. Gravity hammer is ineffective unless it is used with instant consideration upon location and team orientation. Rockets are a just a tool to get by hiding opposition, not the super-powered monstrosity everyone fights more dearly for than the actual objective at hand.
A map where the better team(arguably), will be the winner.
Gephyrophobia means fear of bridges.(just so you know)
