I basically made a very small fighting arena with a roof overhead here so that there is no escape from your peers. There is a box in the middle to combat instant kills, but it's best advised to keep moving around. Works well with 4 people and close combat weaponry (Swords, Shotguns, Gravity Hammers, etc.), haven't tried it with any more.
