New Year's Resolution

New Year's Resolutions

In which Bungie Staff make themselves stupid promises they can't possibly keep. My previous New Year's resolutions have all come to naught. Apart from giving up smoking. That one took. Of course, there's one or two secret project-related resolutions that everyone on staff is going to keep, but just in case you're wondering, here's what Bungie folks are planning on a personal level this year.

Stefan Sinclair

"My new year's resolution is to give up coke and hookers (again, this time for good!) Then, the plan is to get back into doing some volunteer work."

Frank O'Connor

My New Year's resolution is the same as Pinky and the Brain's has ALWAYS been. To try to take over the world. Failing that, to get the Green Destiny fixed and quit saying "Aaaaaw damn, no-scope to the face!" every time I kill someone (especially when I didn't use a sniper rifle). And also to stop making Pinky and the Brain references. That ship sailed a loooooong time ago.

I would also like to start talking in concrete terms about what our next project is. And I can't wait for that time to arrive. Won't be long, I swear.

And finish that novel I've been workin' on hmmm. You know, the one I've been workin' on for three years, hmmmm?

Andrew Davis

I resolve to meet ALL the ladies. And play more 360. Wait, those are counter-productive, aren't they? Um, give me a little while to think about that one.

I resolve to do less corpse-humping and much more "loving my fallen comrades."

I resolve to stop stabbing people in the face for saying "Belgian ROFLs."

I resolve to lose weight by eating fewer people.

I resolve to overcome my addiction for the blood of noobs.

I resolve to develop my knowledge of a foreign language so I can use another tongue to hurl insults as a substitute to subtlety and maturity.

Nathan Walpole (Bentllama)

Anger Management.

Robt McLees

I don't make them. New Year's Resolutions are the lies we tell ourselves because we think we need to become better people. They are lies because PEOPLE DO NOT CHANGE. They are lies because they are only New Year's Resolutions and nobody ever follows through with them and nobody ever expects you to.

Now that Lil' Sketchtina is here, all my resolutions from now until the end of time will somehow involve babies and parenting and all the responsible things that go along with it. For example, I plan on drastically reducing my intake of certain Mexican fast food delicacies in exchange for healthy home cooked meals and treating myself to mere single pizza per month. Thin crust. <shudder> Aside from all the health-conscious stuff I am vowing to do, I'm also planning to become the office champion at DOA4 and practicing Bungie's Next Project as much as I can on an ongoing basis to ensure my place atop the internal leaderboards. In terms of work, my resolution is to do some kickass things with (along with a lot of other hardworking people around here), try and keep Halo 2 atop the Xbox Live charts with Community-Collaborative playlist updates and I vow that before the end of 2006 our fans will have some solid information on what's coming next from Bungie!

Finish my book, "The Bacon and Whipped Cream Diet."
Maintain the Project and its inherent secrecy.
Practice Dim Mak.

Lee Wilson

Non-stop heavy training in preparation for the summer.
I will be learning the Vocal Release technique; working with a coach 6 days a week, so I can make the words "Cahm on Eng-er-laaand!" soar above the hullabaloo of the pub where I will be watching the World Cup.
Day 7 will be reserved for bicep curls, in case I have to buy multiple rounds during the games.

Michael Williams

I have two resolutions this year. First, I resolve to help the Newbies crush Middle School, Old School, & the Grizzled Ancients in this year's winter pentathlon. Secondly, I resolve to get more quality time with my wife, playing together in Team ActionSack.

Vic DeLeon

My New Year resolution is to remain irresolute.

Marty O'Donnell

I resolve to not answer questions from the press unless approved by our crack PR team.

Halo 2 is still going strong!

Looks like the Xbox LIVE team has yet to flip the switch. Halo 2 is still online and operational. If you're looking to get some last minute games in, now's the time - there's no telling when it's going down!

Walshy's 2nd - Halo 2 Montage

Posted by urk at 4/15/2010 9:19 AM PDT

Goodbye to you.

"This is the amazing Walshy's second montage on youtube. No description needed, but I'll give one anyway. Walshy is an amazing Halo 2 player, and is on one of the best teams, Final Boss, with players like him, Ogre 1, Ogre 2, and Strongside. This montage is a very honest montage with great editing and gameplay. Many snipes, sticks, multikills, and no scopes etc. I hope you enjoy it and leave a comment for me to read!?"
