The Bungie FanFest is coming to the Los Angeles Convention Center on May 15, 2003! To register for FanFest and get all the facts, check out the Bungie FanFest 2003 Chapter over at the 7th Column. This chapter will be the official meeting place to keep up with the latest info and connect with your fellow Bungie fans.

This year's event is taking place on the E3 showfloor after hours in the Xbox booth. Fans will have a chance to get hands on play with Halo PC multiplayer as well as playing Xbox Halo against Bungie staff and other 7th Column members. We are also giving a private showing of a little game we like to call Halo 2. Space is limited to only 200 people and the only way to guarantee a spot is to register online before everyone else. If you're going to be in LA, hurry up and register before it's too late! But how will you get to LA?....

Are you a Halo Fan? Sure you are, who isn't. But are you REALLY a Halo fan? Enough so that you could claim the title of America's Biggest Halo Fan ? Microsoft Games, the publisher of the upcoming PC version of Halo, is on a search to find the #1 Halo Fan in the country. Do you have what it takes to win the crown?

It's easy to call yourself the biggest Halo fan but in order to win you're going to have to prove it. To do so, you'll need to muster up all of your creativity and resourcefulness to create the ultimate Halo video. Exactly what your video entails is up to you but there are a few things to keep in mind. First off, you have to be at leat 18 years old to participate in this contest. Secondly, all videos will be judged based on three criteria - overall creativity, entertainment value and how well it conveys the message that playing Halo is fun. There are some restrictions on what file types are accepted so be sure to review the Official Rules. Your video should also be no longer than 5 minutes. Lastly, if you're going to be emailing in your entry, the file can't be any larger than 5MB. Other than that, the only real limitation is your own imagination! Once all of the entries are collected, members of Bungie Studios will judge them and pick the top three finalists.

There isn't a lot of time so you'll need to get moving quickly. All entries must be recieved by April 25, 2003 . There are two ways to enter, by mail or email.

To enter by email:

1)Attach your video (5mb max.) or include a link to your video in an email to: (see Official Rules for acceptable entries)

2)Include the following information in the body of the email:

  • Full Name
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • Email Address
  • File/Video Name

So what do you get if you win? The top three finalists, picked by Bungie Studios and members of the Xbox Team, will win a trip to attend the Bungie FanFest in Los Angeles, CA on May 15, 2003. While at the FanFest, you'll get hands-on play time with Halo PC and all of it's multiplayer goodness. Halo PC isn't all you'll see, there's also a little game called Halo 2. Perhaps you've heard of it? At the FanFest, the grand prize winner will be selected and will be crowned "America's Biggest Halo Fan." The grand prize also includes a Halo poster signed by the Bungie team, your very own copy of Halo PC (when the game is released) and you'll even get your name in the credits for Halo PC!

So what are you waiting for? Review the Official Rules, fire up those video recorders, boot up your computers and let the magic begin!
